The leadership team at PineCrest has recently rolled out a Certified Nurses Aide program that is completely cost free to the employee. “We hope to break down any financial barriers that may have prevented someone from advancing in their career. With cost out of the way, employees can obtain a certification in a field with tremendous demand,” explained Hannah Pierce, Healthcare Administrator.
Shalana Hyde (pictured left), PineCrest’s DON, serves as the Program Director and is excited to extend a new opportunity to those who are seeking growth or change in their career. “I started my career years ago at the age of 17 at a nursing home in Corrigan by attending a CNA class. My roots were planted and I have always had the dream of helping others see the importance of what we do each day. So, I made it my mission to get the class started and my dream has come true a year later,” expressed Hyde.
Participants will spend a total of 100 hours learning the required competencies with a great portion of the hours spent in hands on learning. Classes will begin in 2022 with hopes to funnel any and every employee who wishes to become certified through the program.
