Quite simply, Life Enrichment is the act of bringing joy to people’s lives and that is exactly what Karla, Kendra and Karren do on a daily basis.
A Selfless Heart
If you were to venture into Independent Living on any given day, you would likely run into Karla, the leader of the Life Enrichment team. She would likely be calling a game of bingo, dancing down the hallway or laughing with residents. She leads her team with love, kindness and patience and gives of herself selflessly to our community. Proverbs 3:17 states, ‘Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.’
A Cheerful Heart
Down the halls of Assisted Living and Memory Support you will hear the infectious laughter of Kendra. She is always going above and beyond to bring smiles to the faces of our residents. From making virgin margaritas to dressing up like Donald Duck, you will find no one more dedicated to spreading joy and laughter throughout our community. Proverbs 32:25 states, ‘Strength and dignity are her clothing and she laughs at the time to come.’
A Peaceful Heart
The warm smells of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies bring you down the halls of Healthcare where you will find Karren providing all the comforts of home to our residents. She pampers them with spa days, arts and crafts or outside planting fresh vegetables in our raised garden beds. Karren has a servant’s heart and calming spirit, she shows love and kindness to anyone she encounters. Proverbs 31:26 states, ‘She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness.’
Life Enrichment at MRC PineCrest is such a beautiful ministry and we are so blessed to have these three women that God handpicked to enhance the lives of our residents emotionally, physically and spiritually.
